Benefiting the members of
Burroughs Molette & Early Literacy Club and Terry Thomas Club
A playground is an astonishingly powerful place- a special space where children can feel both safe and free. As a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia Board of Directors, I write today to ask for your financial support in building that special space for our Club Members at 3 Club locations- Terry Thomas Club, Early Literacy Academy and Burroughs Molette Club.
The current Terry Thomas Club playground was built in 2000. In the more than twenty years since then, the playground has had items break, removed, fade, and become otherwise outdated. The Boys & Girls
Club of Southeast Georgia Board of Directors has committed to funding the playground over the next year, in hopes of completing the project by the end of 2024. The purpose is not merely to replace an existing space at Terry Thomas; it is our hope that the renovated playground will be more accessible for all Club member needs. Over the past 20 years, there have been significant developments in understanding what children need and how play spaces can be more accommodating to the needs of children. The Burroughs Molette Club, located at Burroughs Molette Elementary school, currently does not have a school playground. The Burroughs Molette playground would not only be an asset for the
school, but also for the Burroughs Molette Club and Early Literacy Academy Club members. We want to create a space where every child in our community can play.
That’s why we are asking for your tax-deductible gift today. Your gift will help us provide a high-quality, innovative play space for our Club members. The Glynn County School District has committed to
funding half of the Burroughs Molette playground. But to achieve our goal, your support is essential. Every dollar raised through this fundraising drive contributes towards our $600,000 fundraising goal, the
dollar amount needed to install the 3 playgrounds. Your gift to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia will help us provide a high-quality, innovative play space for our Club members. Because this is not a district-funded project, your support is essential.
It is quick and easy for you to make a real difference in the lives of our Club members. Please contribute via our online fundraising site (www.bgcsega.com) or mail checks made out to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia to Post Office Box 1193, Brunswick, Georgia 31521. Cash donations are also accepted. Because Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia is a 501(c)3 organization, your donation is tax deductible and eligible for employer matching.
Your support will bring our vision closer to realization, but it is also an investment in principles of equity and inclusion. Your gift makes a statement that Boys & Girls Club members at Terry Thomas, Early Literacy Academy and Burroughs Molette Clubs is a community where all children are appreciated. Please join us in building a new world of play for Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia Club members.
With sincere gratitude,
Board of Directors
